Cranium Jam Pack Jam

Are you a spatial super hero? Do you see space solutions where others would throw up their hands in surrender? If so, then it’s time to put your money where your mouth is, or more precisely, put your baggage where your trunk is. Cranium’s newest challenge game puts players face to face with the age

Space Alien Test Kit

Space Alien Test Kit

This “Test Kit” had several of our testers debating whether it was more of a scientific exploration experience or a true gaming experience. Parents pointed out the wealth of scientific information that was provided in a clear, non-school-like venue. The preteens loved the challenge of matching up everyone as aliens and of course thought the

Disney Pictionary DVD Game

According to our testers, co-opting the wildly successful family game of Pictionary and infusing it with Disney magic proved to be quite a successful move by Mattel. Using beautiful Disney graphics and photos, players are given the option of drawing clues themselves or watching as the DVD does it for you. All the elements of

Two by Two Matching Game

Two by Two Matching Game

Colorful and bright this game may be the first game your preschool child will play with and if they do it will surely become a favorite. With cards sized just right for their little hands and designed with drawings of animals that are easily recognizable, parents found this game to be a great educational tool.

The Origin of Expressions

The Origin of Expressions

What a wonderful idea for a game. Borrowed and reworked from one of the best party games ever, Dictionary, players are challenged to stump others with their creative writing and sales skills. Instead of trying to determine the meaning of impossibly obscure words, players are given the task of divining the origin of expressions such

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Parents and children, experience and review submitted products and services either already released or coming to market.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. They score based on 13 levels of criteria including quality, appeal, design, price, packaging, directions, desirability, stimulation, replay factor, and more. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
