ETERNAS

ETERNAS

ETERNAS offers up a fun, new, circular 3D twist to the traditional four in a row game. The rules here are very simple and will feel familiar to anyone who has ever played Connect Four or some other version of that game. While this simplicity allows players of all ages to jump right in and […]

PATHAGON

PATHAGON

This board game, crafted completely from wood, is a compelling mix of easy rules that are deceptive. To the first time player it is seemingly obvious how to win in just a few moves. It is then that the ingenious part of the game comes it. Getting your pieces to connect in a continuous line

QUADEFY

QUADEFY

This game struck testers at first as looking like a cross between Tetris and Jenga. With a recommended age of 4 and up, they were more than a little skeptical. That was until they let their children spend a little time with QUADEFY. Almost every parent told us that they were surprised how quickly their

TRAPPEX

TRAPPEX

Parents found TRAPPEX to be an attractive, sturdy and extremely easy to play game. One parent felt that the all-wood construction, with pieces that are smooth and feel good in your hand, was very “zen”. The board is solid and yet not weighty. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, as a result

The Greatest Day Ever Game

From the very first time families opened and played with this game, they knew it was going to go into the regular rotation during their family game nights. Even though it is essentially a gussied up matching game it was stimulating nonetheless thanks to the fact that there are so many combinations of cards to

Awkward Family Photos

Awkward Family Photos

We don’t officially have a category for funniest game but if we did, Awkward Family Photos would be the hands down winner for this testing period. The double sided game board features photos that perfectly capture those pictures that, if you happen to be caught in them, you wish would just go away. When they

Tetris Link

Tetris Link

When you are thinking of a new game to bring to market you can start from scratch or you can do a little research, figure out which was one of the most popular games of all time on video platforms (pssst, Tetris) and make it a table top game. The problem with picking such an

20 Q

20 Q

Twenty questions, like so many games that were once played with nothing more than imagination, has moved into the 21st century and become a tech item. Actually this is the 2nd iteration of the venerable long road trip game in digital form. Now the game can be played without a car packed with siblings. Given

Life on the Farm

Life on the Farm

In coming up with a manner in which to describe Life on the Farm we settled on, think Monopoly with a dash of The Game of Life and then throw in some cows. Instead of deeds, houses and hotels you are accumulating bovines, keeping them fed and cared for, building the herd all in the
