Can You See What I See?

Any good children’s game should start with simple, easy to understand instructions and Gamewright did a marvelous job right off the bat. What testers discovered was a wonderful family game that was perfect for everyone to enjoy. Kids really concentrated on the search and find aspect of the game which impressed parents. Another huge plus

Consensus Junior Edition

Consensus Junior Edition

A great family game that celebrates the opinions of players. In fact, those opinions trump actual knowledge of facts, how cool is that? Not having a vast or broad knowledge base doesn’t set you behind the eight ball here, but being able to think about how fellow players think is what can propel you to

Greenpieces Jigsaw Puzzle

If you love puzzles and the environment raise your hand! OK, no put down your hand and rush out to buy this puzzle. To start, the packaging is 100% recyclable. Word Frenzy

Word Frenzy ranks right up there with some of the finest and smartest word games you and your family will ever play. As one tester put it, “it’s kind of like Scrabble with Musical Chairs.” An odd pairing to be sure but there is some sense to it. The game appealed to testers of all

Swinxs

Swinxs

Swinxs is a gaming console but we guarantee it is unlike any console you have ever seen or played with. There is no television or other screen to hook it up to and it doesn’t take cartridges. It’s hi-tech but it only has three buttons and one light on it. Sounds like a conundrum, no?

Gobblet Gobblers

Gobblet Gobblers

One of our favorite games of all time just keeps finding new ways to impress our testers. From the original Gobblet, which we raved about and exclaimed, “We dare you to play this game just once!” to Gobblet Junior which we dubbed as simply “ingenius”, it has been quite a run for Gobblet. Now it

Yamslam

Yamslam

Fun for the whole family, Yamslam is reminiscent of a variety of dice rolling games with a couple of nice twists. What impressed our testers right from the start was the intriguing and equally appealing box, or more precisely the molded metal container. Inside the red felt and the clay chips lent an air of

Chickyboom

Chickyboom

Another ingenious, low-tech game from the creative team at Blue Orange, Chickyboom is an engaging game that teaches balance and design all while enhancing the higher elements of critical thinking. Apart from being absolutely adorable from a design standpoint the game features a superb level of quality with painted wood pieces, a common theme we

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Parents and children, experience and review submitted products and services either already released or coming to market.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. They score based on 13 levels of criteria including quality, appeal, design, price, packaging, directions, desirability, stimulation, replay factor, and more. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
