Factor Frenzy

Factor Frenzy

You’ve got to be quick with your mind and your reflexes to score big in Factor Frenzy, a game that manages to make math fun. Any parent will tell you that this is no small feat, which must be why they responded with enthusiastic reviews of this game from the folks at Learning Resources. By […]

Light N Strike

Light N Strike

Could it be that Whack-A-Mole has met its educational equal? Learning Resources must think so since they clearly borrowed a key element of the arcade game’s enduring success. There is no denying the carry-over appeal of using a soft rubber mallet to pound out answers to math questions. Kids were lined up, eager to test

M.Gears Remote Control Racers

M.Gears Remote Control Racers

There may be no greater thrill than building your own racing vehicle from scratch and then stepping back for the first time, remote control firmly in hand, and hitting the power button that sends it racing off along the floor. The visual alone, of wildly spinning gears and wheels taking off over your living room

Namits: The Game of Think

Games on the go have been historically hit or miss, the portability factor often outweighing the level of fun. Namits bridges that gap admirably and our testers believed that it was quite simply, a great idea. This is really a question and answer game, but since kids love showing off what they know, there is

Nano-Tropolis Assortment

Nano-Tropolis Assortment

There are so many great models and scenarios to build in this vehicle construction set that we knew from Day One that we were looking at a slam dunk winner. Chock full of great building designs and ideas and a virtual cityscape that unfolds before you that quite frankly our testers felt that Mega Bloks

Barbie Interactive Dictionary

Barbie Interactive Dictionary

When it comes to young children exploring the world of words, our testers have told us that physical interaction with the dictionary, beyond that of flipping pages (how last century!), goes a long way towards increasing their children’s desire to spend any length of time devoted to the activity. Using Barbie as the “spokesdoll” for

Christmas Gamesake

Christmas Gamesake

Once you get past the craziness of the shopping, the wrapping and the cooking the Holidays remain a wonderful time for families to be together. Jocapa has designed a game/memory maker that is great for capturing and reliving this special time, this year and for years to come. Designed as a game, but really a

Roundabout

Roundabout

Some board games are full of razzle dazzle graphics and instructions that the fun gets bogged down in the details. Roundabout is the antithesis of that style of game. Elegantly simple, Roundabout demands cunning, planning and strategy worthy of the finest board games ever created. Players were captivated and plotting moves from the very first

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
