Eric Carle Developmental Elephant

Eric Carle Developmental Elephant

One of America’s most beloved children’s authors has now affixed his name to an adorable crib/stroller toy for infants and babies. There is much more than Mr. Carle’s name helping to make this colorful play toy stand out among the crowd. The bright fabrics and the tactile experiences that squeak, crinkle and rattle at your

Smart-e-bear

Smart-e-bear

The adorable concept behind Smart-e Bear was immediately endearing to our parents testers. Being able to “customize” the bear specifically to their child was a feature that really impressed. Children will simply never grow tired of the bear because it grows and evolves all based on the age of your child, their developmental stage and

Baby Einstein Animal Exploration Tunnel

The bright colorful appeal of this tunnel, both inside and out drew babies to it like moths to a flame. The excitement of climbing through the tunnel, pretending they were sneaking and hiding was adorable. Tri-Cross

Tri-Cross

The full name of the company that created Tri-Cross is Games for Competitors and rightfully so. This was viewed by testers as a very smart game. Similar in some respects to Stratego but with a much shorter playing time. There is a slightly higher learning curve here, which is not surprising considering the various layers

Arthur Saves the Planet game

Arthur Saves the Planet game

As several testers independently noted, Arthur Saves the Planet is a kind of cross between Monopoly and Candyland. Not a bad pedigree if you are trying to follow in the footsteps of successful games. Using an underlying theme of caring for the planet, the wildlife that inhabits it and “going green”, the game’s creators didn’t

Elmos Restaurant

Elmos Restaurant

If you have preschool aged children at home and are considering one big toy purchase this holiday season, based on our tester reviews, Elmo’s Restaurant should be ranked at or near the very top of your list. This toy offers great play value whether it’s being used by one or ten children at a time.

2-in-1 Transforming Tool Truck

Parents and their children were equally excited to get to work/play with this ingeniously designed 2-in-1 toy. Almost immediately, thanks to the easy to read and understand instructions, kids were throwing themselves into the experience. With a variety of building options the creativity is as much a part of this toy as are the fun

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Parents and children, experience and review submitted products and services either already released or coming to market.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. They score based on 13 levels of criteria including quality, appeal, design, price, packaging, directions, desirability, stimulation, replay factor, and more. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
