A Loveliness of Ladybugs
A Loveliness of Ladybugs is a bright, colorful, wonderfully illustrated learning tool that also happens to be an adorable book. The vivid nature of the pictures certainly caught the attention of children. This came as a pleasant surprise to parents who told us those same kids were previously drawn almost exclusively to electronics and not books. Reviewers found this new book to be more educational than other storybooks on their children’s shelves, mainly because it taught quite a few new words that quickly started to work their way into their children’s vocabulary. The book had a unique draw, we saw children returning to it numerous times on their own. Pre-readers would “read” it to themselves, telling the stories aloud via their interpretation of the beautiful pictures into stories that only a child’s mind could conjure up. Parents agreed that it was a blast to watch. The book also inspired some impromptu art projects based on their favorite animals pictured in the book. The book is a very sturdy hardback book with a nice thick paper jacket and thick paper pages.. It is larger than the average child’s book, which is perfect for showing off the fun illustrations while reading to a child who, of course, needs to touch and grab. All in all, this is a fun read for the whole family; it provides plenty of entertainment for a wide range of ages to enjoy on their own or together.
