ALEX DIY Happy Little Loom
Leave it to ALEX to make a loom that is easy and fun to use. This is a great starting loom for both kids and adults. The directions are clear and easy to understand however many testers told us that they opted to check out the instructions and videos provided on the terrific ALEX website. Not only did it illustrate things nicely, it appealed to kids who feel right at home with websites and videos. Once you get the hang of the process of weaving in and out of the rods it becomes quite calming, one parent described it as therapeutic. Working a loom takes patience but, when you see the final product, the time invested all feels worthwhile. Testers liked that the project didn’t have to be done in one sitting, your child can start and stop multiple times. There are a variety of options for what to make and by easily changing the number of rods your child can create things as small as bracelets or as big as scarves or purses. Since we have so many testers we needed to replenish the materials and heres where we learned a valuable lesson that we are happy to pass along. Make sure you purchase yarn that is on the thinner side. Thick yarn is tougher to work with on this sized loom.
