Super Max the Turtle

If you love giving your kids “Ooooo” moments then wait until you lower the lights and turn on Super Max. Let them press one of the buttons. The green light is first to shine through the turtle’s shell and then the whole ceiling is lit with images of stars. Parents told us that this quickly […]

Nesting Shopping Cart

Nesting Shopping Cart

Following two months of product testing the clear consensus is that this Nesting Shopping Cart is a great, affordable addition to any toy collection. Parents told us that they like having toys around that replicate items in the “real world” as it invariably leads to make-believe scenarios. The cart has large tires, making it sturdy

Roominate Amusement Park

The Roominate Amusement Park is all about imagination play from the construction of the Ferris wheel to playing out the scenario where they are running the park. Parents applauded that fact that the building of this toy is at a different level than other building systems. They noted how refreshing it was to find a

Epic

Epic

Parents preconceived notion that Leap Frog is going to deliver high-quality, educational, interactive fun has raised the bar pretty high for this multiple Seal-winning company. Epic did not disappoint. The Epic tablet is a highly customizable, app-based device that can be used by a variety of ages. Used as a learning toy that can grow

Disneys Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa

Disneys Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa

If you have a Frozen fan in your home you can pretty much bank on the fact that this toy is going to be a hit in your house. The Elsa doll is well made and looks very much like the heroine of the movie. Of course she sings the full version of “Let it

Road Rippers Dancing Car

The Road Rippers Dancing Car is interesting because it was described by testers as being both an exciting and cute little toy. Kind of an anomaly when you think about it. Parents did admit that they had their reservations at first thinking that it could be just another annoyingly loud toy with flashing lights and

Meccanoid G15

Meccanoid G15

Without a doubt this was the most eye catching toy in our testing centers. Meccanoid will remind parents of Johnny 5 from the movie Short Circuit but for kids he just looks like an awesome new robot friend waiting to be built and played with. This is a big project (over 600 pieces to assemble)

Space Hawk

Space Hawk

Testers were excited to spend time with Space Hawk because, as they explained, they had NEVER seen a toy like this before, so innovative, inventive and state-of-the-art. The package is stunning and the large, picture with the fold up lid to reveal an amazingly cool spaceship is any boys dream. By attaching your smartphone to

TILO Trike

TILO Trike

From the moment they first saw and touched the sleek and modernly designed TILO Trike testers knew that this was a high quality tricycle that was clearly made out of the best materials. It is so solid and sturdy that it was even able to hold the weight of a large adult with ease, so

LEGO Dimensions

LEGO Dimensions

LEGO has jumped, with both feet, into the toys-to-life category. For those of you unfamiliar with the term or the genre, it is the conjoining of physical toys with video games. LEGO Dimensions comes with physical LEGO pieces that you build into sets, characters, vehicles, or accessories. The next step is placing what you have

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
