Gigantosaurus

Gigantosaurus

Gigantosaurus is a dinosaur toy that provides lots of fun and excitement for kids ages three and up. This dinosaur is the perfect size for children to really get hands-on with. It is small enough to lift but large enough to provide some impressive scale proportions especially when it is set next to toy cars […]

X-Power Dozer

X-Power Dozer

The Xtreme Power Dozer is an awe-inspiring bulldozer truck that excited the dickens out of little ones. This extreme motorized dozer can pull and push heavy loads and climb through almost any rugged terrain. If your kids are into big monster trucks, wrecking things, and playing in the dirt, the Power Dozer is right up

Twisted Tales

Twisted Tales

Twisted Tales is a family game that uses a group setting to build a story which is constructed by a designated storyteller and scored by earning votes. It takes some thought and a bit of wit, but there is no doubt that Twisted Tales really brings out the creativity in people. Each of the cards

Inappropriate Minds

Inappropriate Minds

Inappropriate Minds got high scores from testers who found it to be ideal for Family Game Night fun, as well as a great road trip game. For families with teenagers, this is a great way to bring everyone together playing, chatting and laughing together instead of everyone being on separate screens in the same room.

Owleez

Owleez

Owleez are adorable flying “owls” that, since they are the creation of Spin Master, share a lineage with the wildly popular Hatchimals. These big-eyed little owls (there are several in the line and surely more to come) need to be nurtured and cared for so that they can fly on their own. Like their Hatchimal

Hatchimals Hatchtopia Life

The Hatchimals collection of toys have invaded the consciousness of children everywhere, and this Hatchtopia Life series is no different. These little guys come in a small plastic egg very similar to both the large and mini Hatchimal collectibles. You have to rub the heart on the egg for it to turn pink; at that

Luvabella Newborn

Luvabella Newborn

The Luvabella Newborn doll is an interactive doll with an almost surreally realistic appearance. This was part of the appeal for our little testers who gravitated to it and couldn’t wait to start taking care of her. The doll is very well made and the interactive features work extremely well. The doll responds to touch,

Demo Duke

Demo Duke

Demo Duke was a hit in our testing centers…Literally. The crashing and breaking of Demo Duke became a familiar sound, along with the laughter and giggles afterward. This is a play toy with no educational value, and that’s fine! Not everything needs to be packed with STEM learning, which parent testers said was OK with

hifold

hifold

One thing we have learned in our many years of product testing is that when it comes to transportation products (strollers, car seats, and the like), parents are always on the lookout for easy alternatives for transporting all the necessary equipment required to keep their children safe. Kids today ride in numerous vehicles, so having

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Parents and children, experience and review submitted products and services either already released or coming to market.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. They score based on 13 levels of criteria including quality, appeal, design, price, packaging, directions, desirability, stimulation, replay factor, and more. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:
