Digging For Dinosaurs
The Leapster system has always had a knack for combining the appeal of handheld video gaming with solid educational content, combine that with the producers of this title, Scholastic, and you know you have a good pedigree. Digging for Dinosaurs gives children of early school age three levels to choose from as they answer questions that identify a variety of dinosaur types or by maneuvering them. All of this is done in the pursuit of dinosaur bones which are then used to create a dino of your own. Kids learned and retained quite a bit of the knowledge they experienced while playing including the facts and names of all the dinosaurs, so much so that their parents excitedly reported back that their children were proudly repeating the names to them and in school.
