Legos have traditionally been either gender neutral (Classic blocks and Duplo) or male oriented building sets. Seeing this obviously girl-centric building and play set delighted parents of little girls who were excited to introduce it to their daughters. The fine motor skill development that Lego is famous for along with concentration and balance are all included here for a very affordable $9.99. It should be noted that this is just one of several themed sets in the Friend’s Series, Emma was submitted for review and so we’ll focus on her here. There are 93 pieces that come together to create Emma;s Karate Gym. The gym is equipped with swords, medals, blocks to be karate chopped and a cool mask that can be placed on Emma’s head. What makes this set stand out is that when the gym construction has been completed the fun doesn’t stop. It is at this point that kids will bring the room to life, dreaming up all kinds of imaginary scenarios.
