HandZone
HandZone is a unique matching game/app loaded with a lot of fun and flair. Dreams on Demand is a company that impressed our testers with their obvious desire to create games that encourage mental stimulation while hiding it in the guise of a game. The goal here is to match decorated pairs of arms/hands and build up your point total. The directions are still being tweaked, which is a good thing since the consensus was that they could be a little clearer. Even though there are little pop-ups that give you tips and instructions on how to play the game, it still takes a few rounds to understand how to play. That said, the graphics are fun and whimsical, which was a big part of the appeal. Two separate games offer up some diversity and keep things fresh. The Hands Zoom game is based on position and memory, where you need to match up different characters. This appeared to win out as a tester favorite. They liked having to pay attention to something as silly as creepy monster arms. It does take a little while to get the hang of, and some testers reported the learning curve to be a little challenging. However, as stated before, we were testing a beta version of the game, there are things still in development (in fact we got updates during the testing period). Dreams on Demand is on the right track and we have high hopes for the finished product.
