This new LeapPad app impressed testers as being fun and engaging. The graphics in this game are cute and very vibrant. The voices are sweet like they are talking directly to your child in a friendly, soft manner. The “host” of this application is a turtle character who is encouraging throughout, telling children that they are doing an excellent job. The songs in this game are memorable and easy to sing along with. Many kids were happily singing or humming the tunes even after playing. The lessons here include tracing letters, finding and identifying different sea creatures, learning interesting facts about the various things found at the beach. But since this is LeapFrog you can bet that there is more. The app also teaches letters, how they sound, how they look, how to trace them and different animals that start with the corresponding letters. Kids loved receiving badges for completing tasks. The ten dollar price tag struck testers as being right in line with what they would expect for an app of this quality.
