This Micro Maxi Deluxe is an excellent toy for children ready for the transition to a skateboard or even a two-wheeled scooter later on! The Deluxe features two front wheels making it much more secure than traditional 2-wheel ride-ons. The construction is substantial and yet is remarkably light and easy to maneuver. The lighter material gives the rider the ability to perform tricks sooner than they might with a traditional metal scooter. The deck of the scooter is wide and long for one or two feet with a good gripping surface that keeps feet from slipping off and is even sturdy enough to hold smaller adults. The big difference here is that you don’t turn the front wheel like a standard scooter, you lean left or right. Therefore, it acts more like a skateboard and/or snowboard, which, once again, serves as a great transition tool for kids. When riding it, kids can let go of the handlebars (carefully!), and it’s like riding a skateboard. The handlebars easily adjust up and down, and the brake pad is effective, prominent, and easy to use. It goes over bumps much easier than a standard 2-wheel scooter, and it jumps better too! The wheels glide smoothly over tough surfaces like concrete and asphalt. After a big day of riding, it cleans up quickly so that it’s ready for the next adventure.
