Moodster Feelings Flashlight
JellyJam has created a book and flashlight set designed help children connect with their feelings. If you saw the wonderful movie “Inside Out,” you’ll recognize the gist here. The Moodster characters represent a child’s inner feelings. They introduce these five characters/five feelings in a story that features the fear Moodster.Parents appreciated the effort to help children identify and express their feelings with the help of the Moodster feelings flashlight which lights up and projects different characters on the wall and speaks about different emotions. For instance the fear Moodster teaches children that the antidote to feeling afraid is repeatedly telling oneself to be brave. Simplistic perhaps but it did strike a chord for several testers. The idea is effective in that the flashlight helps my children learn about simple words and feelings. The sounds and lights are entertaining for younger children who were more apt to request the story be read multiple times.
