National Geographic Science Magic
Are you looking for a terrific combination of education and fun? Never mind, we know you are, we all are! This gender-neutral project kit supports STEM concepts taught in school through an interactive experience that promotes imagination, confidence, creativity, strategy, patience, and planning. Inside the terrific and very appealing package, you’ll be amazed at the number of experiments packed within. Your child will start with experiments, and yes, the kit provides ALL of the material, liquid, and powder for you. Projects can be done individually, with a friend, or as a group. The instructions are easy to follow and give detailed descriptions of how to conduct the science experiments and how to present them as tricks to an audience. There are suggestions for the words to say, how to present the experiment, etc. Parents felt that there was an added bonus here; teaching your children how to tell stories, how to hold an audience, and how not to be afraid of standing up in front of an audience. The tricks are challenging, but kids found them fun challenges that they were excited to master. For parents, watching the show and the flourish that each child brings to the “show” is a blast. This is ideal for science-lovers or those who have some reluctance or trepidation regarding the subject. Blue Marble has done a great job of sparking a healthy level of curiosity and interest. All in all, this is a great starter kit for anyone who loves or wants to learn about magic and/or science.
