Peppa Pig is a hit, not only on her hit TV show but now in hardcover book. This is a beautiful hard cover book with a great book jacket. The animations are bright, energetic and full of detail. The pictures support the story well and really hold the attention of kids when they inevitably ask for it to be read over and over. The story is about Peppa Pig excited to go to school to share her talent on the special talent day. In the course of the school day many of the routines and conventions of normal school life are detailed, making this book ideal for pre-back-to-school reading. Whether painting, reciting the alphabet, counting, having lunch or recess it provides a nice peek into what school will be like, or it matches what kids already know. When Peppa shows off her talent (spoiler alert), jumping into a mud puddle, kids smiled and laughed, again and again.
