No doubt about it, VTech has hit it out of the park with the Go Go Smart Wheels Spiral Construction Tower. It is a toy that will engage your child in imaginative play for hours, thanks in part to its innovative smart point technology. The box is colorful and engaging. It shows the entire toy, which ramps up the anticipation level and is helpful for assembly.
The box includes a dump truck, an excavator, and a mixer. The dump truck is the only car included in this set that is considered smart point ready, and to do that, you’ll need to install batteries so that it will correctly interact with the spiral construction tower. When your child rolls the dump truck over the smart point QR codes located on several different points throughout the construction site, they will hear the truck say fun and unique phrases and songs. The smart point technology is innovative and unique, and it thrilled our little testers. Also, if you need a break from talking trucks, it does come with an on/off switch, allowing your child to use their imagination to create their own stories for pretend play. One design feature that stood out is that the track is wide enough to fit most toy cars, so it becomes a universal set for many different vehicles in your child’s collection. The cars move quickly down two separate routes, which is both fun and impressive to see. In addition to the construction trucks, the construction tower has a boulder, a wood pile, and a steel pile for imagination play. There are also moveable pieces like an elevator, a drawbridge, and a crane that small hands can easily manipulate. As you might expect, there are other Go! Go! Smart Wheels toys that can be purchased separately and integrated for more play. The Go! Go! line is quite extensive, and the options to expand are numerous. The price point is higher than most testers would have guessed, but when they considered the innovative design and tech, along with the fact that it could be a toy played with for a long time, they gave it a pass.

There are three testing periods each year:
