Eating in Season: Ecologic Memory
The Ecologic Memory game Eating in Season is a sweet, educational game that helps children with visual memory while simultaneously learning how to identify and choose seasonal fruits and vegetables and helping the environment. The first thing that caught the eye of our parent testers was the helpful informational guide that provides information regarding the fruits and vegetables featured in the game. It lists which foods are best in each of the four seasons with a fun little fact about each fruit/vegetable and how it benefits your body. It also explains what happens to the environment if you eat foods in season versus out of season. Additionally, the insert provides five different ways to make eating in season fun. This informational insert helps get children excited about the produce they are putting in their bodies while educating them on how their choices impact the environment. Finally, the game has 16 cute little fruit/vegetable characters, including a background showing the season in which particular produce is best. These seasonal photos help kids learn about agriculture and seasons. It might even make them more interested in trying some new fruits and vegetables that they have been avoiding. The pieces are made of high-quality cardboard and are incredibly sturdy; this comes in handy for when little ones aren’t exactly gentle as they flip the cards over, excited to find a match. Parents felt that Adventerra Games knocked it out of the park with Eating in Season. They told us that discovering a product that is both fun and educational ranks as a parenting win.
