Interactive USA Map
Parents and child testers were positively blown away by this interactive map. This brilliantly interactive, visually appeal and wildly educational “toy” is loaded with bells and whistles that will excite any child (or adult) curious about the vast diversity of the US. It’s an attractive map, and more importantly, it’s well made. The thick rubbery material unfolds nicely and lays flat on any surface. It can also withstand the usual wear and tear of younger children. With multiple functions embedded in the map and within the talking pen, you’ll learn more about the United Stated than you could possibly imagine. Of course, you’ll find all states, capitals, landmarks, and important facts about climate and population. Still, there is also info like, “Earmuffs were invented by a 15-year-old boy in Maine.” Did you know that? Well, now you do, and there’s so much more. The pen is easy to use and hold; it is also very accurate. It can be held by tiny hands and has a minimal number of buttons. It also gives you reminders that the pen is on, a nice battery-saving feature. Finally, you can use this map to start conversations with your child about what it would be like to live in a particular state or what climate would be conducive to growing one crop or another. Not only is this a good geography tool, but it is a great conversation starter. With all of these fantastic features, testers were pleasantly surprised to learn that it sells for just under $50.
