This is a play set that admittedly caught many of our testers by surprise. They had never heard of Popular Playthings and the packaging is a little vague about what kind of play experience is inside. Once they opened the box their opinions quickly changed. They were pleasantly surprised at the quality and overall look of the vehicles which are constructed extremely well using very hard plastic. The colors and design are appealing to both parents and kids. The magnets that connect the vehicle pieces are very strong yet somehow are still easy to pull apart. After two months of very vigorous product testing the magnets are just as strong as the first time we played with them. There are so many vehicle options for kids to build by matching pieces. There is the plane/boat, the plane/boat/car, you get the idea. Kids really got a kick out of dreaming up new configurations.
