HearMuffs Passive

The design of these advanced hearing-protection headphones is so sleek that they demand to be noticed and considered. That’s exactly what our testers did and it was clear, after two months of testing they were impressed. To start, the headphones provide a good fit as they adjust, depending on the age and size of your child’s head, with ease. The headband is nicely padded, making them quite comfortable on the top of the head. This Passive version of Lucid Audio’s headphones are designed to do one thing, muffle loud sounds. Mission Accomplished. Even in some of the noisiest situations, parents reported that there was little reaction to the sound. These do not entirely block out sound which is a nice feature as the child wearing them can still hear someone talking to them at a reasonable level. Testers felt HearMuffs would be great for a younger child to wear during a nap while others are around or if you are out and about.

HOW IT WORKS

A Seal of Approval review involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period.

Parents and children, experience and review submitted products and services either already released or coming to market.

Participants fill out questionnaires for each product or service they test. They score based on 13 levels of criteria including quality, appeal, design, price, packaging, directions, desirability, stimulation, replay factor and more. Results are based on both statistical averaging and comments received by testers.

There are three testing periods each year:

Each submission must be accompanied by a $295 product testing fee (we offer multiple submission discounts). This fee covers the cost of testing, nothing more. It is non-refundable and has no bearing on the result of the testing. Additionally, we require three samples of the product or access codes for online submissions.
